We do not also support Colorado, California, Michigan, or any other state program. That is the point: when OMMA changes a rule, we ship the change in our next weekly release, and you do not wait for a national vendor to notice. When inspectors visit your store, the system already speaks their language, so reconciliation is a click away rather than a weekend of spreadsheet work.

What happens if my internet goes out mid-sale?

Sales never stop. The POS continues running locally on the register, ringing up patients, printing receipts, and recording every transaction with the correct OMMA fields populated. The moment your connection comes back, queued sales sync to OMMA automatically — in order, with the original timestamps. You do not lose a sale and you do not lose a record. Manager-only reports show exactly which transactions were offline, the duration of the outage, and when each sale was confirmed with the state, so end-of-day reconciliation is clean and your numbers always match what OMMA sees. We have customers in rural Oklahoma where this happens weekly; the POS has run through outages of three hours or more without a single dropped record.

Most new hires are productive on the register in a single shift, and our partner dispensaries report onboarding times of 30–60 minutes from first login to first compliant sale. Managers and owners get a separate, deeper onboarding for inventory, manifests, and reports during implementation. We provide written runbooks for the common workflows and short video walkthroughs your team can rewatch any time, plus chat support during business hours for the first two weeks after go-live.

Can I use this across multiple stores?

Yes. Each licensed location has its own POS setup, OMMA credentials, inventory, and staff roster, so compliance stays clean per store and OMMA never sees data crossed between locations. Above that, ownership groups get rolled-up reporting so you can see sales, inventory, labor cost, and gross margin across the entire business at a glance. Loyalty and customer data can be shared across locations or kept separate depending on how you want to operate — most operators choose to share so a patient's tier carries with them. Switching between stores in the back office is a single click for authorized users, and we support up to 25 locations on standard plans before Enterprise pricing applies. Reports can be exported per-location, by region, or business-wide.

What if OMMA's records don't match mine?

If anything looks off, you get an alert in the dashboard that names exactly what changed, when it changed, and which OMMA field was affected. Authorized staff can make corrections from a single screen, and every fix is logged with the operator's name, the timestamp, the reason code, and the prior value. The result is a clean audit trail you can hand to an inspector without explanation: you do not have to remember what happened three weeks ago, because the system already does. Most discrepancies — usually transfer manifest delays or off-by-one inventory adjustments — are caught and resolved within hours, well before they ever reach an audit. We have not had a Weed POS dispensary fail an OMMA audit due to a record mismatch.

How do I know my data is safe?

Everything is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest using AES-256, with keys managed in AWS KMS. Daily encrypted backups run automatically and are retained for 90 days; we also keep weekly snapshots for one year. The platform is hosted in SOC 2-compliant data centers in the US, and we never replicate dispensary data outside the country. Access is role-based, every privileged action is logged with operator and timestamp, and you own your data — you can export sales, inventory, manifests, and patient records at any time, in standard CSV and JSON formats your accountant and OMMA can read.
